Where Sea Meets Sun: A Retreat for Renewal and Radiance

Puglia, Italy | Masseria Specula

May 29 - June 3, 2027*

This retreat is an invitation to step away from the pace of everyday life and into something more spacious, grounded, and intentional.

Over five nights in Southern Italy, we will gather in a quiet, beautiful setting to move, rest, and reconnect with ourselves and each other.

The natural rhythm of the sea and the warmth of the sun create an environment that supports both renewal and clarity. This is a space to slow down, reset, and come back to what feels steady and true.

*This retreat falls over US Memorial Day weekend, 2027.

The Experience

At the heart of this retreat is the opportunity to renew your energy and reconnect with yourself in a meaningful way.

We will be in a beautiful setting in Southern Italy, where the water encourages a sense of ease and flow, and the sun brings warmth and vitality. Together, they support a balance of renewal and radiance.

During our time together, you will be supported to:

  • Refresh your body and mind through movement, nature, and spaciousness

  • Restore your energy with daily grounding and restorative practices

  • Reconnect with your body in a way that feels steady and supportive

  • Renew your sense of what feels authentic and aligned for you

  • Radiate with the energy of this beautiful and ancient region and culture of Southern Italy

Upon leaving the retreat, our hope is that you will have the grounding and clarity to:

  • Return to your daily life feeling more radiant, inspired, alive, hopeful, and connected to yourself and the world than when you arrived in Puglia.

What People Are Saying About Our Retreats

  • "The Rewild and Reconnect Retreat was amazing. I think the organic vegetarian meals were impactful in more ways than expected... especially for people (like me) who aren't vegan or vegetarian. It really felt like we were being nourished from the inside out. It was like being pushed out of my comfort zone - just like yoga - and it felt like we were being cared for - because we were. And also, having the entire place to ourselves was so amazing. It really allowed us to detach and just be present. I'm still 100% moved by the retreat. And the name was perfect.

Rebecca P., Spring 2026 retreat participant

  • "The Rainforest Reset and Renew retreat really did just that: provided an opportunity to slow down, relax, rejuvenate, and reflect, all in a gorgeous and inspiring natural environment. It was the perfect mix of group activities – including movement, meditation, and excursions – and plenty of free time to explore and relax however you chose. Andrea and Sarah created a truly safe space for us all to show up just as we are, so I found the meditation and introspective practices much more moving than I had expected. I left feeling strong, relaxed and recharged. An absolutely wonderful experience!"

Celeste D., Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 retreat participant

  • "I was nervous when I decided to join the Rewild and Reconnect retreat. This was my very first yoga retreat. The nature and views were beautiful. I felt so pampered at every meal and especially after the massage. I really appreciated the way each day was thoughtfully planned. One of the best parts of this retreat was the people. The community that was created felt so warm and kind. I felt very safe, and I’m so glad I decided to be there. I truly regained my energy for my daily life when I returned home. I felt like I was on a real vacation. Thanks again to Andrea and Sarah for taking such good care of us. They truly understand what matters in a retreat experience. I am already looking forward to another retreat. It was such a memorable experience."

    - Soon Ok L., Spring 2026 retreat participant

  • "Rewild and Reconnect was exactly the spring break my body and soul were craving. Nestled in Murrieta, California, the retreat offered everything I didn't know I needed — a stunning home, nourishing food that was as delicious as it was intentional, and activities that invited genuine joy and presence. What made it truly special, though, were the people. I left with a full heart, a clearer mind, and connections that felt real. Thank you Aetheria Movement for hosting!”

    -Ivellisse M.

  • "Aetheria retreats are a unique and special time that include thoughtfully designed schedules that provide all the flexibility you need to make the retreat exactly what you need! As someone that seeks a combination of physically challenging yoga practice, yin/restorative practice, and meditation the Aetheria retreats provide opportunities for all of these! Incredible food and time in nature are included in the daily schedules as well. Andrea and Sarah provide opportunities to check in with everyone to support what individuals and the group is seeking out…as much or little social time, solo time, activity, rest, and whatever else you desire. This supportive flexibility is a refreshing shift from my typical super busy over scheduled life!"

FAQ’s

  • Aetheria Movement retreats are truly for ALL levels of yoga and meditation practitioners. Our retreats are not meant to be all day workshops, nor is this simply a vacation. There will be one to two practices offered daily, that you can opt into or out of, based on how you feel that day. Sarah and Andrea intentionally craft each retreat and each practice within the retreat with the group in mind. They are adept at flexing the “plan” and adapting to who and what shows up in the studio.

  • No, ALL gender identities are welcome.

  • Yes, the retreat center is less than 1 mile from the sea (which you are free to walk to as you please), and the grounds are extensive.

As we gather the group, we will offer folks the options to add on activities. Examples include - a half day excursion to a UNESCO World Heritage site town in Puglia, wine tasting on property, cooking class on property, daily 2 hour access to a plunge pool, massage.

  • We plan (always subject to change) to offer an evening class on the arrival day and a morning practice on the final day before check-out. The other full days, we plan to offer two classes each day - one in the morning and one in the late afternoon/evening.

  • YES! You will receive a detailed schedule closer to the retreat, but we plan to build multiple spaces for free time daily. Our aim is to offer a balance between activity and rest, group time and time for you to choose if you want to be alone or with the group.

  • We encourage you to participate in all of the classes, as they are included in the price that you pay and a big part of coming on retreat. And, we honor your autonomy. There may be a class or two offered in the shala that is noted on the schedule as optional (i.e. a HIIT class or specific workshop for arm balances/inversions). The excursions and activities for this retreat will all be offered as “add-ons” closer to the time of the retreat.

  • We invite you to come as you are. With that said, the nature of the retreat - the classes and activities offered lean towards the active side. A moderate level of physical fitness is advised to participate. By no means do you need to be a marathon runner, “advanced yogi” or anything of that nature. We will tailor to the best of our abilities classes to meet the middle road of the group that attends in terms of physical fitness level, yoga and meditation experience/years of practice, etc.

If you are unsure, please consult with your medical team before committing, particularly given that this is an international retreat which will require two 8-12 hour flights (there and back) from the contiguous US.

  • More than likely - please share your dietary needs in the intake form when booking/well ahead of the retreat so the folks preparing food can plan.

For food allergies and deep sensitivities please note that Masseria Specula has informed us that given the nature of their kitchen, they "cannot guarantee that any food, meals and/or drinks served are free of allergen or allergen traces."

  • Unfortunately, given the historic nature and location of the masseria, the space is not suitable for people with mobility issues.

  • Refer to the section above “What’s Included”  for details. Activities and excursions will be “add-ons” to this retreat, and thus not included in the initial price to secure your room, meals, practices, and r/t transportation to one of the two closest airports.

  • No, the yoga shala will have mats and props for all participants. But, if you want to bring your own mat and/or props, you’re more than welcome to do so, just be mindful of luggage allowances and space in your suitcase.

  • Triples, doubles, and a very limited number of singles are available. If you are coming with a lover, friend, or partner, you will be able to request a shared room with them and indicate if you will want two single beds or one double bed.

  • The weather this time of year in Puglia is warm during the day - highs are generally in the mid-to-high 75-85 °F - and mild to cooler at night - 55-60 °F.  There should be minimal rainfall and lots of sun this time of year (pack sunscreen!). Sea temperatures range from high 60°F to mid 70°F. Humidity is relatively low, and coastal areas often enjoy a refreshing sea breeze, making high temperatures bearable.

We will provide a “suggested packing list” closer to the time of the retreat.

  • No, per Masseria Sepcula’s policies, the space is adults (18+) only.
